The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at the new Downtown’s Pizzeria on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Chamber of Commerce Board members joined restaurant owner David Brown and his wife Kelly to celebrate the opening their new restaurant.
Downtown’s Pizzeria is owned and operated by Oneida resident David Brown. Dave says he had been tossing around ideas for a new business venture until he noticed a for-rent sign in the window of 128 N. Main Street as he was driving by one day.
He had a strong desire to bring his new business to downtown Oneida and so after speaking with the property owner, he made the decision to open a new Pizzeria in the former Martino’s location.
After the countless hours of paperwork, purchasing all new equipment, developing a menu, interviews, and phone calls that go into starting a restaurant, Downtown’s Pizzeria opened for business Aug. 4. This is the first restaurant venture for Dave. The pizzeria will focus is on consistently serving a quality product with top notch ingredients. All their Italian dishes, dough, sauce and sides are homemade; wings and fish are fresh and fries are fresh cut. Dave says you can expect delicious food served in a casual environment with warm, friendly “Downtown” customer service.
Hours of operation are currently 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving lunch and dinner specials daily, and fish fry on Fridays. Downtown’s Pizzeria will hold a grand opening week Sept. 1 through Sept. 7. They will offer “grand opening” specials in addition to regular daily specials. Delivery is available for orders $10 or more within the city of Oneida and surrounding local areas for an additional fee.
