On Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m., the Canastota Public Library will host a screening of the film “Boom & Bust: America’s Journey on the Erie Canal.” The film will be presented by its producer Dan Ward, Ph.D.
The film recounts the industrial expansion and decline in communities along the Erie Canal and its impact on the villages and towns in its path.
We hope you will join us for a viewing of the film, followed by a discussion with Ward. Dr. Ward is a folklorist and historian who has directed research, fieldwork and historical projects throughout the United States.
This event is a Canalside Talk, brought to you through the cooperation of the Canastota Canal Town Museum and Public Library. The event will last approximately one hour and is free.
