After completing the vetting and interviewing process, Acting Sheriff John Ball has received the endorsement of the Onondaga County Veteran’s Party as its candidate for Madison County Sheriff in the upcoming November general election.
“I am honored to have been considered for, and having received the endorsement of this distinguished group – representative of the military and veterans organizations in our region,” Ball said. “As a United States Navy veteran, and a member of the American Legion, having the support of fellow veterans is an honor like none else, and I do not accept the endorsement lightly. I am honored and humbled to have received the Onondaga County Veterans Party endorsement.”
Ball previously received the endorsements of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters – Local 294, CSEA – Madison County Local 827, CSEA – Central Region V, and the Greater Syracuse Labor Council.
He will be participating in the Oct. 10 candidates’ forum hosted by PAC 99, MadisonCountyCourier.com and the Oneida Daily Dispatch at the Kallet Civic Center and will attend a Democratic meet the candidates event at Oneida Towers Oct. 5.
The general election is set for Nov. 7, 2017.
