The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Sean Scarafile will be working at the Chamber as an intern from October 2017 through April 2018.
Sean is a senior at Whitesboro High School and comes to us through the Regional Program for Excellence (RPE) at the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES. RPE offers selected high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore career options through a summer or school year intership of 72-75 hours. Students are excused from school for a half a day each week (three hours) to meet with mentors. His interest in business drew him to the Chamber.
Sean will be learning a variety of aspects of the Chamber. He will be attending our Monthly Networking Events. Be sure to say “Hi” to Sean if you run into him. Sean will be working on the Clinton Shoppers’ Stroll & Holiday Parade event in November, Membership Renewals and Community Guide in 2018. Through his internship, Sean will gain more knowledge about and develop relationships with the local business community.
Jackie Walters, Executive Director of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce stated, “We are excited to welcome Sean as part of our team. He is a bright and ambitious student who will no doubt have a positive impact on our organization. It’s my goal to give him opportunities to learn by giving him projects in the Chamber he can get immersed in.”
