On Oct. 27, 2017, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative compliance check of local establishments in Oneida County. As part of the initiative, 21 establishments serving or selling alcohol within this area were checked for their compliance with the laws of the State of New York, relative to prohibiting sales of alcohol to persons under the age of twenty-one.

 The following establishments were found to be in compliance:

  • Barneveld liquor 8026 State Route 12 Barneveld
  • Rite Aid – 8190 State Route 12 Barneveld
  • Nice-N-Easy – 8035 State Route 12  Barneveld
  • Stewarts Shop – 9566 Main Street Holland Patent
  • Sunoco Gas Station – 7559 ST 291 Holland Patent
  • Marcy Waheguru Petroleum 5773 State Route 291 Marcy
  • Stewarts 5319 ST 233, Westmoreland
  • Nice-N-Easy 7296 West Main Street Westmoreland
  • Cliff’s Local Market 8429 St. Rt. 69, Oriskany
  • Cliff’s Local Market 7841 ST 5 Clinton
  • Byrne Dairy 7767 St 5 Clinton
  • Sunoco 8516 Seneca Turnpike New Hartford
  • Mirabito 8536 Seneca Turnpike New Hartford
  • Killabrew Saloon 10 Clinton Road New Hartford
  • Stewarts 220 Utica Street Clinton
  • Cliff’s Local Market 33 Utica Street Clinton
  • Alteri’s 7 College Street Clinton
  • Village Tavern 14 College Street Clinton
  • Don’s Rok 36 College Street Clinton

The following establishments were found Non-complaint:

  • Cliff’s Local Market 8429 St. Rt. 69, Oriskany

State Police charged Leland L. Height, age 22, from Oriskany, with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st (PL 260.20) and Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a minor (ABC Law 65-1).

  • Seneca Wine and Liquor 8630 Seneca Turnpike New Hartford

State Police charged Craig A. Weil, age 53, from New Hartford, with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st (PL 260.20) and Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a minor (ABC Law 65-1).
