The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has selected Oneida Area Day Care Center as Member of the Month for October 2017.
The Oneida Area Day Care Center is a not-for-profit day care center, licensed by NYS Office of Children and Family Services to provide early childcare and education for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. OADCC was incorporated in 1971 and is one of the oldest centers in New York State. They currently provide quality care for over 70 families.
The OADCC also partners with the Madison County Early Learning Center, providing an inclusive toddler classroom. The Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies is used for the Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs. The Preschool and Pre-K rooms have adopted some of the common core standards to ensure that children are Pre-K and Kindergarten ready. The School Age Enrichment Program allows children to participate in activities that build on their knowledge from school and provides new experiences for them to explore. They are also a BOCES teacher training organization allowing Early Childhood Education interns to participate in field experiences at our center.
The Oneida Area Day Care Center has been a staple in our community for over 45 years providing care to hundreds of area children. The center is an irreplaceable resource to the children and families in our community who rely on the services they provide. They are currently raising funds to bridge the gap between the rising cost of operations and general expenses while maintaining quality, affordable childcare for this community. In addition to providing quality childcare, they also employ 27 dedicated staff members.
