The Civil Air Patrol has a history going back to 1941 as the Air Force’s “eyes in the skies.”

“I was pleased to help unveil a Redbird FMX Flight Simulator that the New York Wing of the CAP will use at its Cadet Education Center Building at Hancock Field in Syracuse,” said Assemblyman Anthony Brindisis. “The simulator was obtained thanks to a state grant I supported in the 2017-2018 State Budget along with my colleague, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo. This device will help encourage interest in the STEM fields by the CAP’s young cadets, and will be used for valuable flight training and pilot proficiency during the winter months.”
