February 2018 programs at Morrisville Public Library
Library Closures: We will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, to observe President’s Day.
READO Winter Reading Challenge: Feeling the winter blues? Break out of it by playing READO with us now until Thursday, March 1. READO is open to kids and adults and is just like regular Bingo, but with books. Come into the library and pick up a READO card. Read some of the books indicated on your READO card and make a “Bingo” of the books you have read. Turn in your READO card after you have made a “Bingo” and be entered into a drawing to win a prize at the end of the program. The kids can win a 3-D pen set, and adults can win a Kindle Fire. Please note: The Library Staff retains the right to ask questions pertaining to a book to verify if the book has been read.
Canned Food Drive: We will be having our annual canned food drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry now until Wednesday, Feb. 28. Please help us make it better than last year. Not only will you be making a generous contribution to our food pantry, but for every item you donate, we will take a $1 off your outstanding fines.
Free Tax Prep for Seniors: RSVP with the support of the Morrisville Public Library will offer free income tax preparation for seniors 60 years and older. RSVP volunteers will be providing free income tax services from, Feb. 1, through April 14. Volunteers are certified by the IRS to complete your tax forms. Call Marie Smith after Feb. 1 at 315.684.3903 to sign up for your appointment to have your tax returns filed free of charge.
