On Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at approximately 10:30 a.m., State Police responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the westbound lanes of the state Thruway in the town of Verona, Oneida County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle lost control and rolled over near mile marker 256.
State Police have confirmed that three passengers of the vehicle, all from Massachusetts, are deceased:
Maria Braga, 81, Fall River, Mass.
David M. Botelho, 73, Westport, Mass.
Isabel Botelho, 72, Westport, Mass.
The driver, Joao Braga, 81, also of Fall River, was transported and is being treated at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
