Cazenovia Public Library to Host Introductory Gardening Workshop

In celebration of spring, the Cazenovia Public Library will partner with Maryellen Sheehan of Hartwood Farm (Fenner) to present a gardening 101 workshop. “Getting Started Growing in CNY” will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room.

Participants will learn fundamental gardening skills and discover the wonders of growing their own food, herbs, and flowers. Sheehan will cover a variety of topics: choosing and preparing a garden site, planning and timing a garden, seed starting and transplanting, cultivation, managing pests and diseases, and enjoying the harvest. Informational handouts will be provided. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session. No previous gardening experience required.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
