Community Memorial salutes doctors
On Friday, March 30, Community Memorial and its five Family Health Centers will celebrate National Doctors’ Day. This day honors physicians for the work they do for their patients, the communities they work in and for society as a whole.
“I have spent the majority of my career in primary care,” said Dr. Jennifer Laundy Meyers, president of the medical staff and pediatrics at Community Memorial Hospital. “It is so rewarding to watching some of my first patients, now turning 10, grow so healthy and strong. Community Memorial Hospital is a great place to be a part of, everyone pitches in its like family. Staff is committed to Community Memorial and I am honored to work with these professional individuals.”
“It has been an honor to work in orthopedic care for more than 28 years,” said Dr. Raymond J. Meeks, vice president of the medical staff at Community Memorial Hospital and orthopedic surgeon. “My colleagues at Community Memorial are wonderful. Patients that come to the hospital are like relatives, neighbors and family members. It is the caring attitude of the staff that brings people from our community and beyond for care.”
The celebration will be marked with warm cookies and thanks from area patients and staff that work with them every day will feature a week-long social media campaign, highlighting the physicians sharing their most memorable moments during their medical career and why patients at Community Memorial are so special.
“It is their hard work and dedication that keeps us healthy and on this day we thank them for ourselves and our loved ones,” said Sean Fadale, president and CEO of Community Memorial. “As we celebrate Doctors’ Day we also extend our gratitude to the fantastic support staff including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Mid-level Providers that work with our physicians.”
