Two juveniles charged with prank calling State Police
Two juveniles from Taberg were arrested by the New York State Police in Lee as result of a false reporting of an incident investigation.
On April 2, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the State Police communications desk in Oneida received multiple calls from a male attempting to order food. A brief time later, they received another phone call from the same number from a female subject requesting help and that her mother is on the floor. This was followed by a scream, then the call disconnected.
The investigation revealed that two juveniles, ages 12 and 14, were misusing emergency services and prank-calling State Police.
A 14-year-old male and 12-year-old female were arrested for third-degree falsely reporting an incident (a class A misdemeanor).
They were each issued a family court appearance ticket returnable to the Oneida County Family Court.
