Madison-Chenango Call to Action to host ‘The News: Truth or Fiction?’ April 29, 2018
How do we know if a news source is trustworthy? Do social media outlets build a false sense of authority? How do we remain calm amid the chaos of information overload?
To hear the answers to these questions and participate in further discussion, come to the Hamilton Public Library Community Room at 1:30 p.m.Sunday, April 29, 2018, for an educational forum on ‘The News: Truth or Fiction?’
Panelists include Travis Olivera, director of the Hamilton Public Library, with three Colgate University faculty members: Joshua Finnell, head of research and instruction, and associate professor in the University Libraries; Meg Worley, associate professor of Writing & Rhetoric and Film & Media Studies; and Will Cipolli, assistant professor of mathematics.
This presentation is sponsored by Madison-Chenango Call to Action.
