Be sure of a big surprise with Friends of Rogers at third annual “Teddy Bear Picnic”

Everyone loves a soft, snuggly teddy bear! Friends of Rogers invites all young, and young-at- heart, to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to a special celebration at Rogers Center.

On May 26, join Friends of Rogers to enjoy teddy bear stories, songs and rhymes during the third annual “Teddy Bear Picnic.” Admission includes a delicious picnic lunch.

“The whole family will enjoy lunch outdoors – the teddy bear way,” said Jenni Larchar, Children’s Program Coordinator. “Go out into the woods with your favorite stuffed friends. Stories, songs, and adventure await!”

As the popular children’s song says, visitors to the popular Rogers Center “Teddy Bear Picnic” are sure to have a treat, with lots of marvelous things to eat and wonderful games to play.

“We are very excited to once again host the ‘Teddy Bear Picnic’ this spring,” said Simon Solomon, Friends of Rogers Executive Director. “Offering programs like this means the fulfillment of our mission in a dynamic way.”

The “Teddy Bear Picnic” will take place from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Outdoor Classroom at Rogers Environmental Education Center, just off state Route 80 in Sherburne. Pre-register by May 25; admission is $5 per member and $7 for not-yet- members or $18 for families who are Friends of Rogers members and $22 for those families who are not-yet- members.

Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for people of all ages. Seasonal hours are from 10 am to 4:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday, and from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
