Canastota School students participate in Million T-Shirt March Against Bullying
On May 4, students in the Canastota Central School District took part in the annual Million T-Shirt March Against Bullying, an event that sheds a light on bullying and encourages students to do something about the problem. Schools throughout the country participate in similar marches on the same day to support the same cause.
Students, faculty and staff joined a million other people around the country as they marched in and around the Peterboro Street, South Side, and Roberts Street buildings, some holding signs and wearing shirts to support the “Stop Bullying” theme.
The local march was coordinated by the Canastota High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. This represents the seventh year that FBLA has spearheaded this event. Health classes made posters to be carried during the march.
