Library to host Stories for All: Sensory Story Time
The Cazenovia Public Library invites children and their families to the Community Room at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, for Stories for All: Sensory Story Time. This monthly program is specially designed for children ages 2 and older, including those with autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration issues, and other developmental disabilities.
Like traditional story time sessions, Sensory Story Time features songs, rhymes, and books. Unlike other sessions, these programs include a visual schedule, involve fewer tasks and offer a safe space for children who struggle to sit still.
Library to Host Interactive Junior Book Club
“The Wild and Wonderful Readers” junior book club will hold its next meeting at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the Cazenovia Public Library Story Garden Room. The session will combine book discussion, games, and hands-on creative activities. The group will discuss Sheila Turnage’s award-winning adolescent mystery novel, Three Times Lucky.
Rising sixth-grader Miss Moses LoBeau lives in Tupelo Landing, N.C., where she washed ashore in a hurricane 11 years ago. Although she hopes to someday reunite with her “upstream mother,” Mo has found a home with the Colonel—a local café owner with a mysterious past—and Miss Lana, the café hostess. When a lawman comes to town inquiring about a murder, Mo and her best friend set out to uncover the truth and save her family.
The junior book club is open to children ages 9-14. Books are available at the circulation desk.
All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315.655.9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
