State police investigating fatal ATV crash in Jefferson County
On May 25, 2018, at 11:26 pm, State Police in Watertown responded to Plank Road in the town of Rodman for a reported ATV that struck a tree.
Investigation revealed a 2002 Yamaha ATV, operated by Timothy M. Reynolds, III, age 14, was traveling on Plank Road, when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, traveled off the east shoulder of the roadway, and struck a tree. Reynolds was ejected from the ATV and fell down an 85 foot earth embankment.
Timothy M. Reynolds III was transported by South Jefferson Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
