Students graduate from St. Lawrence University

Nearly 520 students received bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held May 20 in Canton.

  • Jillian A. Andrews of New Woodstock. Andrews is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in performance and communication arts. Andrews received the degree of bachelor of arts cum laude. Andrews attended Fabius-Pompey High School.
  • Nicholas A. Clemente of Syracuse. Clemente is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in environmental studies-government. Clemente received the degree of bachelor of arts cum laude. Clemente attended Solvay High School.
  • Ryan M. Daly of Manlius. Daly is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in English. Daly received the degree of bachelor of arts. Daly attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School.
  • William O. Fellows of Cazenovia. Fellows is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in government and business in the liberal arts. Fellows received the degree of bachelor of arts. Fellows attended Cazenovia High School.
  • Amanda M. Korb of DeRuyter. Korb is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in environmental studies-English. Korb received the degree of bachelor of arts cum laude. Korb attended Otselic Valley Central School.
  • Chase H. Lucas of New Woodstock. Lucas is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in psychology and economics. Lucas received the degree of bachelor of science. Lucas attended Cazenovia High School.
  • Haley S. O’Brien of Cazenovia. O’Brien is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in biology and anthropology. O’Brien received the degree of bachelor of science cum laude. O’Brien attended Cazenovia High School.
  • Nicholas J.P. Santaro of Manlius. Santaro is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in biology. Santaro received the degree of bachelor of science cum laude. Santaro attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School.
  • John R. St. Denny of Bridgeport. St. Denny is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in geology. St. Denny received the degree of bachelor of science magna cum laude. St. Denny attended Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
  • Lauren J. Weeks of Hamilton. Weeks is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in performance and communication arts. Weeks received the degree of bachelor of arts cum laude. Weeks attended Hamilton Central School.

Graduates, faculty, staff and guests heard remarks from honorary degree recipients Haruyoshi “Yoshi” Udagawa ’74, faculty emeritus at the Toyo University, and Melanie Smeallie Mbuyi ’77, Operations Officer for East Asia Pacific Region Finance and Markets Global Practice at the World Bank. NPR affiliate North Country Public Radio, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, received the 2018 North Country Citation.
