State Police seek public assistance with identifying suspect in surveillance photo

UPDATED INFORMATION:
On June 21, 2018, State Police arrested Brian W. Longto, 22, from Rome, for petit larceny, a misdemeanor.  He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court at a later date.  The New York State Police would like to thank the public for their help in identifying the suspect.

State Police in Lee are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in a surveillance photo regarding a larceny that occurred May 28, 2018, from the Rome Walmart located at 5815 Rome-Taberg Road in the city of Rome, Oneida County.

The individual left the store without paying for $128.26 worth of merchandise at the self-check-out.  He can be seen getting into a white Dodge Caliber before leaving the area.

If anyone has information on the identity of the individual in the photo, they are asked to contact State Police in Oneida at 315-366-6000.  All information will be kept confidential.  Please reference case number 8266063.
