Library invites kids to break stuff
Children gathered at the New Woodstock Free Library July 23 to “break” stuff.
The event, which was modeled after popular STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) programs called “Makerspace” events.
“Actually, the children didn’t break anything,” said Library Director Norm Parry. “They took ‘dead’ electronic things apart to find out what’s inside. They disassembled computers, printers, disks and other equipment to see what parts make up the device.”
