MVCAA to host job fair Aug. 22, 2018
MVCAA will host a job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at its 9882 River Road, Utica, location; the agency is seeking candidates for the following positions in its child development program:
- Universal Pre-K Teachers – Must possess a current New York state preschool certification (N-6).
- Teachers – Minimum two-year degree in early childhood education.
- Early Head Start Home Visitor – Preferred: a two-year degree in early childhood education plus one year specific training or experience in infant/toddler or home-based CDA or comparable credential; or equivalent coursework of a CDA as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
- Child Development Site Supervisor – BS/BA in early childhood or related field with 12 credits of early childhood coursework plus one year’s experience teaching in a child day care program and one year’s experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work.
MVCAA’s child development leadership team will be in attendance to discuss these positions for the program, and qualified candidates for the above positions will be interviewed on site at the job fair.
MVCAA serves these Head Start/Early Head Start locations: Boonville, Utica, Camden, Canastota, Herkimer, Ilion, Little Falls, Morrisville, Mount Markham, Oneida, Rome, Sauquoit, VVS and Waterville.
