Suicide loss documentary at Utica Public Library
On Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at 1 p.m., the Utica Public Library will screen “Reclaiming Life: Faith, Hope and Suicide Loss.”
This excellent documentary explores the sensitive subject of suicide from the perspective of two women, both of whom lost a child to suicide. The film addresses stigma, anger, despair, grief, hope, faith and ultimately the chance to utilize coping mechanisms for some form of healing.
It is a wonderful examination of a subject that is difficult to discuss but takes the lives of more than one million people every year.
