Jefferson County man arrested on rape charges
On Sept. 12, 2018, state police in Lowville arrested 45-year-old Terick R. Goodwin of Carthage on two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child (class A-II felony).
Investigation revealed that Goodwin subjected a female under the age of 13 to sexual contact during the month of September 2018 while in the town of Denmark, Lewis County.
State Police in Lowville were assisted by the state police Violent Felony Warrant Unit, state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Watertown Police Department, Jefferson County Drug Taskforce, Lewis County Sheriff Office and Jefferson County Sheriff Office.
Goodwin was arraigned in Denmark Town Court and remanded to the Lewis County Correctional Facility without bail.
