Miller receives pro-jobs grade from Business Council

Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I-New Hartford) announced that The Business Council of New York State, the leading business organization in New York state, has bestowed a pro-jobs grade on him due to his voting record on jobs related legislation over the course of the last two years.

“I am proud to have earned a pro-jobs grade from the business council,” said Miller. “Too many state residents are forced to leave New York to pursue opportunities in other states that will allow them to provide for their families. We must pass legislation that makes New York more business friendly and keeps jobs right here for our hardworking families.

“Assemblyman Brian Miller has demonstrated a strong commitment to growing jobs and supporting the state’s business community,” said Heather C. Briccetti, Esq., president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. “From opposing the creation of a government-run health insurance program, to opposing expansions to Paid Family Leave and Workers’ Compensation, Assemblyman Miller has consistently come down on the side of the taxpayer and for that, we thank him.”

According to its website, The Business Council is made up of approximately 2,400 member companies, local chambers of commerce, and professional and trade associations. Of its members, 72 percent are small businesses, but The Business Council also represents some of the largest corporations in the world. Altogether, members of the council employ more than 1.2 million New York residents.

Assemblyman Miller represents the 101st District consisting of parts of Delaware, Herkimer, Oneida, Orange, Otsego, Sullivan and Ulster counties. For more information, please visit Assemblyman Miller’s Official Website.
