Brindisi issues comments on start of Sauquoit Creek Flooding Project
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi of Utica today issued the following statement, as ground was broken in Whitesboro for the first phase of a project to reduce flooding along the Sauquoit Creek Channel:
“Today’s ceremony is a very significant step toward helping to alleviate flooding which has regularly occurred along the Sauquoit Creek. This project would not be possible without collaboration from a number of partners, at the state, county, and municipal level. It is a project I am strongly committed to, and I am optimistic that as it continues, home and business owners near the creek will see some relief from the flooding which has caused misery for so many people for a number of years.”
