Christopher Robin to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library

The Cazenovia Public Library will present two free screenings of Christopher Robin (2018) on Friday, Nov. 23 at 1 pm and 6:30 pm in the Community Room. The charming film is inspired by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard’s book Winnie-the-Pooh.

In this heartwarming story, Christopher Robin has grown up and lost his way. Now it’s up to his spirited and loveable stuffed animals—Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and the rest of the gang—to help him rediscover the joys of life. The film is rated PG and runs 104 minutes. Free popcorn provided. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library.

Library and Izaak Walton League continue Young Naturalists Program Series

The Cazenovia Public Library will partner with the Izaak Walton League to present the Young Naturalists program series for children ages seven and older. The engaging, hands-on programs are designed to get young people interested in science and connected to conservation and outdoor recreation. Participants will become citizen scientists and learn about local ecology through activities, art projects, and books. The next session, titled “Ready, Set . . . Sleep,” will be held Monday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 pm in the Community Room.

The Izaak Walton League was founded in 1922 by 54 avid anglers dedicated to conserving outdoor America for future generations. The environmental organization is named after Izaak Walton, the 17th century author of The Compleat Angler—a classic book about the art and spirit of fishing. The League is one of the first conservation organizations to set forth an aggressive course of action to defend wild America by changing public policy.

During the program, participants will learn about hibernation and create a fun fall craft to take home. Registration is requested. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
