On Dec. 20, 2018, investigators arrested Kenneth C. Dertz, III, 32, a Sergeant First Class with the 3rd Battalion of the 6th Field Artillery Regiment on Fort Drum on charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass, both misdemeanors.
Dertz’ s arrest is subsequent to an incident reported to state police Dec. 10, 2018, which occurred at a residence on Maple Street in Black River. Dertz was released to military authorities and issued appearance tickets returnable to LeRay Town Court for Jan. 7, 2019, at 5 p.m.
On Dec. 28, 2018, investigators arrested Chelsea C. Nicoletto, 26, a First Lieutenant with the 3rd Battalion of the 6th Field Artillery Regiment on Fort Drum on charges of making a false written statement and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.
Nicoletto was charged following the investigation into an incident reported to State Police on Dec. 10, 2018, which occurred at a residence on Maple Street in Black River.
Nicoletto was released to military authorities and issued appearance tickets returnable in LeRay Town Court for Jan. 7, 2019, at 5 p.m.
