In response to today’s “State of the State” address given by Governor Cuomo, Attorney General Letitia James released the following statement:
“I am optimistic about the proposals laid out today by Governor Cuomo with initiatives I have long supported at the forefront, such as codifying Roe v. Wade and passing the New York State Dream Act. And as someone who was a lone voice on this issue just one year ago, I especially commend statewide efforts to legalize the adult recreational use of marijuana— ending a prohibition that has plagued communities of color for far too long.”
