(Madison County, NY- April 22, 2014) The Madison County Dept. of Solid Waste is launching a new video that teaches Madison County residents the ins and outs of recycling.  The 25 minute video will be aired on Earth Day-April 22 at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Time Warner Cable Access 99 in the Oneida and Hamilton-Earlville area. The video gives an overview of all the items possible to recycle and how to properly prepare them for recycling.

Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, when events are held around the United States and worldwide to show support for environmental protection.  “We thought Earth Day would be a great day to launch our new video,” said James Zecca, Director of the Madison County Dept. of Solid Waste.

The video is about 25 minutes in length and available FREE in DVD format. It will be also be launched  online on April 22 – Earth Day. Go to  www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/solid-waste/home or the Madison County Landfill facebook page for viewing.  It is perfect for school and community groups that want to learn more about all the special recycling programs Madison County has to offer.
