(Albany, NY – Aug. 2014) The Medical Society of the State of New York Political Action Committee (MSSNYPAC) endorses Assemblymember William Magee (D-Nelson) in his re-election bid to the 121st Assembly District
Assemblymember Magee is chair of the Assembly Agriculture Committee and has been a member of the Higher Education Committee since his entry into the Assembly.
“Assemblyman Magee has been one of the strongest and consistent supporters of the physicians’ views on scope of practices expansion. He has a strong relationship with the physicians in his district and always seeks their opinion on issues,” said Joseph Maldonado, MD, President-elect of the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Magee is also a co-sponsor of the Medical Liability Reform legislation and has over the years and has opposed the various regressive liability measures that have come before the Assembly for a vote.
Magee has served in the New York State Assembly for 12 terms.
“We encourage physicians from Oneida and Otsego counties to support him at the polls in September and again in November,” said Maldonado.
