(Town of Lenox, NY – Sept. 23, 2014) State Police in Oneida are investigating a one car fatal crash that occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. this morning on Oneida Valley Road in the Town of Lenox.
The investigation has revealed a 2006 Saturn Vue was westbound on Oneida Valley Road when for an unknown reason, the vehicle failed to negotiate a right turn in the road and exited the roadway off the south shoulder. The vehicle struck a guide wire to a utility pole, drove through a ditch, continued through the yard at 8514 Oneida Valley Road, then struck a tree head-on.
The driver, Deanna L. Ingalls, age 28, from Verona was pronounced deceased at the scene.
