Oneida police patch(Oneida, NY – Oct. 2014) Starting Nov. 1 all night parking is prohibited on all streets, curbed or uncurbed, and in effect every day of the week.

In addition, city parking lots and a section along Freight House Alley are signed for alternate parking in the rows as designated by the signs for the day of the week. The ban is from 2 to 6 a.m. to prohibit parking longer than 30 minutes. The purpose of this is to allow for snow removal.

Oct. 21

Loren .J Searl, 20, of Willow Grove Terrace, Canastota was charged Oct. 17 with fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

Jerry A. Manser, 48, no address available was charged Oct. 18 with Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in Public.

Frank W. Lisi, 51, of Depot Street, Canastota was issued an appearance ticket Oct. 20 to appear in Oneida City Court Nov. 21 to answer a charge of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

A 14 year old male was charged Oct. 20 with fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a class A Misdemeanor. The juvenile is alleged to have possessed a dangerous knife, a hunting knife with a 7 inch blade, at the Oneida High School. The juvenile is alleged to have brought the knife to school in a bag and left it outside one of the school doorways. The school security officer located the knife and he and school officials were able to identify who had placed it. The juvenile stated he had left it there to take home after school. The juvenile will answer the charge at The Madison County Probation Department.

 Oct. 23

Patrick R. Pennise, 19, of Pratt Drive, Oneida was charged Oct. 21 with Petit Larceny. He is alleged to have stolen merchandise from Walmart.

Joseph J. Ambs, 27, of Deveraux Street, Oneida was charged on Oct. 22 with Petit Larceny. Ambs is alleged to have stole money from a parked vehicle..

Nadaline J. Gumbs, 19, of Vyse Street,. Bronx, NY was arrested Oct. 22 on charges of Petit Larceny and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Gumbs is alleged to have stolen merchandise from Walmart. She was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail set at $250.

A 14 year old male was charged with third-degree Assault Oct. 21. He is alleged to have on Oct. 15 at about 3:30 p.m. to have repeatedly punched a 15 year old male in the face causing the victim to sustain a broken nose and a contusion. The 14 year old will appear at the Madison County Probation Department to answer the charge.
