(Sherburne, NY – Feb. 2016) “Spring Frolic” – a celebration of the vernal equinox to benefit Friends of Rogers – will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 18 at the Colgate Inn in Hamilton. Guests will be treated to a complimentary first drink, light entertainment, silent auction and dinner reception.

A highlight of this year’s festivities will be special recognition of the Sherburne Rotary Club, long-standing supporters of Rogers Environmental Education Center since its founding in 1969.

“We are thrilled for this opportunity to publicly acknowledge the Sherburne Rotary Club,” said Jessica Moquin, Friends of Rogers development coordinator. “Its steadfast dedication to Rogers Center is inspiration from which Friends of Rogers draws upon every day.”

Led by President John Borst, the Sherburne Rotary Club was instrumental in the establishment of Rogers Center.

“If Rotary had not become involved during the phase-out stage of the Game Farm, it’s a wonder whether or not Rogers Center would have been saved originally back during the 1960s,” said Simon Solomon, Friends of Rogers executive director. “The Rotarians’ continued dedication to our annual Winter Living Celebration concession stand has provided tremendous financial support for Friends of Rogers.”

Space is limited, so be sure to make reservations as soon as possible by calling (607) 674-4733.
