The Utica NY Area Irish Coalition will host a gala dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin, which led to Irish independence from England.
The dinner, to be held at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro April 30 at 5:30 p.m., will include a reading of the 1916 Proclamation, poetry, Irish language and traditional Irish music and dance. Tickets must be purchased by April 20. The ticket cost is $30 and includes beer and wine.
