On Sept. 21, 2016, at approximately 11 a.m., a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle being operated by 20-year-old Luke T. Cullinan of Corfu was traveling southbound on State Route 51 in the town of Litchfield at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a right turn.
Cullinan lost control and slid into the northbound lane, striking the guide rail on the east shoulder and was ejected.
He was air-lifted via Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with non-life threatening injuries.
