Young Naturalists program returns
The Cazenovia Public Library will partner with the Izaak Walton League to present the Young Naturalists program series for children ages seven and older. The engaging, hands-on programs are designed to get young people interested in science and connected to conservation and outdoor recreation. The next program, titled “The Buzz About Pollinators,” will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the Community Room.
Participants will learn about pollinators and their importance through an educational game and craft.
The Izaak Walton League was founded in 1922 by 54 avid anglers dedicated to conserving outdoor America for future generations. The environmental organization is named after Izaak Walton, the 17th century author of The Compleat Angler—a classic book about the art and spirit of fishing. The League is one of the first conservation organizations to set forth an aggressive course of action to defend wild America by changing public policy.

The junior book club is open to children ages 9 to 14. Books are available at the circulation desk.

Moyer graduated summa cum laude from the City College of New York and Hunter College with a B.A. in Egyptology. He has lectured on ancient Egypt in the U.S. and the U.K. He is a member of several archaeological societies and has led tours to Egypt.
