The Utica Zoo recently announced their Friday Late Nights for the 2019 summer season with an added twist. Starting Friday, July 12, 2019, visitors will be able to have access to the Utica Zoo Friday evenings until 7 p.m. Plus, those visitors 21 and over will be able to enjoy an ice-cold beer or glass of wine in the newly formed Beer Garden. The Friday Late Night series is perfect for wrapping up a long week with co-workers or kicking off a fun-filled weekend with the family.
Visitors can enjoy food from Polly’s by O’Connors, live music on select dates, yard games, animal walkabouts and presentations from Utica Zoo staff and docents and of course regular access to the Zoo for two extra hours.
“All of us are really jazzed up about starting our Friday Late Night series for the summer,” said Mark Simon, marketing coordinator for the Utica Zoo. “By offering a great way to kick off the weekend for our visitors, we hope the community will take advantage of our extended hours and spend some time at the Zoo.
“Plus, being able to offer beer and wine service is something we have been trying to accomplish for some time, so the kick-off to this series is a great new addition to the events we already offer throughout the year.”
As a note, beer and wine will only be available from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday evenings. Must be at least 21, and identification is required.
