Vintage baseball and antique tractors get together to Strikeout Cancer Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum.
Watch an old time baseball game from 1 to 4 p.m., at Recognition Park, Legion Drive in Chittenango, complete with original rules and old-time equipment.
Admission is $5 per person, $20 per family and free for children 5 and under, with all proceeds going to the Patrick Weise Foundation.
Enjoy watching the Chittenango Rough & Readies take on the Bouckville Summits in a game reminiscent of the games played during the 1860s on the canal. Old-fashioned rules and vintage equipment make this game something special to observe.
Enjoy the antique tractors on display on the grounds of the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Central New York Antique Tractor Club will display a selection of their tractors and farm equipment and learn how they fit into the fabric of our history. Raffle prizes have been donated by the Syracuse Mets, food by the Rotary Chuck Wagon and shuttle busses between Recognition Park and the museum grounds offer the family and inexpensive and fun afternoon.
