New DMC Program, authorized in 2018 Farm Bill, helps dairy producers manage volatility of milk and feed prices
Congressman Anthony Brindisi (NY-22) will hold a workshop for local farmers to learn the ins and outs of a new program at the United States Department of Agriculture. The Dairy Margin Coverage program, authorized as part of the 2018 Farm Bill, offers protection to dairy producers when the difference between the all-milk price and the average feed cost falls below a certain dollar amount selected by the producer.
Brindisi will be joined by local Farm Service Agency staff, who will be available to provide guidance and answer questions about the new tool.
Members of the media are invited to attend and encouraged to share this workshop with their readers and viewers.
