Morrisville State student-athletes from football, field hockey, and cross country took time out of their preseason training schedules Thursday, to welcome the college’s freshmen class, as they assisted with moving students’ into their residential halls.

For a 14th consecutive year, more than 190 student-athletes and coaches took part in the service endeavor, sharing some friendly smiles and making the process for parents and new students less stressful and more enjoyable.

Women’s volleyball also assisted the college with their Bartlett Barn exhibit at the New York State Fair, allowing personnel to remain on campus to welcome its incoming class.

Active in community service initiatives, coaches and department staff combined to contribute more than 3,000 hours and $8,000 through community service initiatives during the 2018-19 academic year, exemplifying the college’s commitment to serving the local and surrounding community.

A photo gallery of the move-in is available on the athletic department’s Facebook page.
