During the early morning hours of Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, members of the Oneida City Police, the state police Special Operations Response and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response teams, executed a no-knock search warrant at 348 Lenox Ave., Oneida.
During the search, investigators located additional evidence of illegal methamphetamine manufacturing and the unlawful disposal of same.
This search warrant was the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Oneida City Police Department’s Investigations Unit, followings tips from members of the community.
Based on the investigation, and the evidence found, investigators charged the suspects with the following charges:
- Latice Holmes, 42, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and second-degree reckless endangerment. Holmes was arraigned in Oneida City Court and sent to Madison County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash $5,000 bail bond. She has future court appearances.
- Brian T. Kaufman, 49, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material, second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Kaufman was arraigned in Oneida City Court and remanded to Madison County Jail without bail. He has future court appearances.
The investigation continues.
