The Great Swamp Conservancy recently received a grant from the Gorman Foundation of Oneida that enables the GSC to install a raised-bed septic system. This, in addition to a new municipal water supply, will allow the Nature Center to install restrooms and a fully functioning kitchen in the museum/event center.
The Gorman Foundation was established in 2003 to support and aid organizations in the area. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for present and future generations and serves as a legacy for the Gorman family. The Gorman Foundation has been a great supporter of the GSC’s environmental endeavors.
