Buttons and Baubles: Victorian fancywork workshop Sunday, Dec. 15
Come join us for Buttons and Baubles: Victorian Fancywork Workshop for adults and children 9 and up from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Participants will create a framed holiday tree, wreath or bell in low-relief and fashioned from old buttons, costume jewelry and other found object ephemera.
Materials provided.
Participants are encouraged to bring special items out of their own button jars, costume jewelry or bead collections to personalize their work.
Artist and educator Pamela Vogan Lynch will lead the workshop; she is a professional artist and retired director of art for the Oneida City School District with 35 years of experience in art education.
The workshop will be held at the Madison County Historical Society; the cost is $14, and space is limited to 20 participants.

The Madison County Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that operates a museum and the Mary King Research Library located at 435 Main St., Oneida. The society continues to preserve, collect, promote and exhibit the history of Madison County and its 15 towns and one city through the development of programs that enhance Madison County’s heritage. The historical society’s headquarters are housed in an 1849 Gothic Revival Villa that is listed on the State and National Registry of Historic Places.
