On Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, more than 150 concerned citizens participated with Indivisible Mohawk Valley in an Impeach and Remove Rally at Oneida Square Roundabout in Utica.

This rally joined more than 500 rallies being held at the same time across the United States, with more than 130,000 people registered to participate.

The somber message delivered was to support the Constitution of the United States. Organizers say the facts are simple, and the evidence is abundant.

“Donald Trump used military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections,” the release read. “Then he tried to cover it up. He must be impeached because nobody is above the law.”

Participants carried signs, included lighted posters spelling out ‘impeachment.’ Some expressed support for Rep. Anthony Brindisi’s announcement to vote for impeachment. Many motorists passing by showed support with honks and waves.
