The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has named Oneida Freelance Co-op member of the month for December.

The Oneida Freelance Co-op is a cooperative of creative freelancers who work, create, and build our businesses using shared resources, knowledge, and experience. Studies predict that by 2027, over half of Americans will be freelancers and currently 47% of millennials do at least some freelance or contract work.

The Freelance Co-op provides legal resources, bookkeeping, client advice, marketing, scripts, templates and guides to make creativity sustainable. Each month, they run free and low-cost workshops (both online and in-person) on topics freelancers struggle with the most — finding clients, negotiation, marketing, client wrangling and more. Their facility houses collaboration centers, meeting space and a recording studio for videos or podcasting.

Oneida Freelance Co-op is located at 132 N. Main St., Oneida. They can be reached by calling 315-280-8233 or found online at freelancecoop.org.

The member of the month program is part of an ongoing effort by the Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce to honor a deserving member each month for their contribution to the quality of life and economy of our community.
