Madison Count y parents of children from 5 to 12 years old will have a unique opportunity to learn how to raise responsible, cooperative children through a free six-week program offered by BRiDGES, Madison County’s Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc.; and Madison County Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development.
The deadline to register is March 1, 2020.
Active Parenting Now offers tips and training on improving communication, using effective discipline, developing children’s self-confidence and independence, handling problems and conflicts and much more for parents of children between the ages of 5 and 12. Through a series of six two-hour workshops, parents can explore the world of effective parenting with activities, videos and interactive lessons.
The program runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 10 through April 14, in the Cornell Cooperative Extension building, 100 Eaton St., Morrisville.
The program is free, and dinner will be provided each week through the donations of local businesses.
