Roxy is a 4-year-old female pit bull terrier mix. She is new to the shelter, but what the staff can already tell is that she is a very sweet, loving girl who has a love for stuffed toys. She can be a bit reserved with people until she gets to know you, but once you’re her friend, she will always be happy to see you and give you gentle kisses.
Roxy is a very easygoing girl who doesn’t ask for much but a good cuddle, a belly rub and a nice walk or a car ride. She thinks she would fit in fine with just about any loving family. She has lived with kids in her past home and really enjoyed being around them. She has been dog-selective in the past but tends to get along with the calmer submissive dogs, a proper meet-and-greet is always required. She can be wary of strangers who approach her kennel, but she’s just nervous and wants to protect her space. The minute you take her out, you’ll get to see all her great qualities. Stop by the shelter and ask to meet her; you won’t be disappointed.
Evelyn is a pretty 3-year-old kitty that is lovable, energetic and would be good with older children. She likes some other kitties as her friends, but you should ask the staff which kitty would be best with her if you have any at your house already. She does like to sit on laps and enjoys being petted for short periods of time. She may let you know if she has had enough petting with a “love bite.” She hopes you come visit her soon.
