Are you a photographer or an aspiring one, or do you just like to take pictures? Madison County is holding its second annual photo contest. Residents are asked to submit photos of what makes Madison County unique. Help capture the people, places and things that make Madison County a great place to visit, work and live.

There will be one winning photograph showcasing each town, and four from the city of Oneida. Of the 19 photos highlighting the county, one grand-prize winner will be selected. Grand prize is a $200 gift card for the Peterboro Table  in Morrisville, courtesy of the Peterboro Table and Madison County Tourism.

All winning photos will be displayed in the hallway leading to the Board of Supervisors Chambers in the County Office Building located in Wampsville and featured in a 2026 calendar that will be for sale in November.

Residents can submit any number of photos taken on any device, so long as the photos meet the qualifications guidelines. Each photographer will only be selected to win once. Winners should be prepared to submit a high-resolution photo if selected.

Each submission must be from a Madison County resident and include:

  • photo(s) (landscape orientation versus portrait preferred)
  • location taken
  • approximate date taken (must be within the last two years)
