(Wampsville, NY) Madison County celebrated its annual Archives Day Oct. 10; the focus this year celebrated Madison County Railroads.
Items on display included railroad bonds, maps, corporations and court cases involving railroads.
Featured speakers included Dick Palmer of Syracuse, who spoke about Frank Cargill (the last station master of the Lehigh Valley Railroad at Cazenovia and New Woodstock) Paul Harvey and John Taibi, who spoke about the history of Madison County Railroads.
Historical institutions, included the Madison County Historical Society, the New Woodstock Regional Historical Society and the Canastota Canal Town Museum also prepared displays.
