(Canastota, NY – Jan. 2013) Author Nariman Jiries will read her book, “Grace-a-Lena Learns the Meaning of Self-Esteem,” at a Fairy Tea to be held at the Canastota Public Library on Saturday Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.

The tea is open to Mothers, Daughters, Grandmothers and Aunts who would like to attend.  The program is geared to girls up to age 10.  Festivities will include tea or juice and cookies, a craft and a reading of the “Grace-a-Lena” book.

Grace-A-Lena is a fairy girl who learns the meaning of self-esteem.  This book is great for little girls to learn about why they are so special.  Parents can help guide their daughters into learning how creating things will help them develop self esteem.

Author Nariman Jiries is currently working on a Master of Arts in psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology.  She is a student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  Nariman is also the owner of Creative Healing for Body, Mind, Spirit.  She practices Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) which helps people relieve stress and anxiety.

The book, “Grace-a-Lena Learns the Meaning of Self Esteem” will be available for purchase and the author will be autographing books on the day of the event.

Please contact the library at 697-7030 to reserve your space.  There is no cost for this program.  Girls should feel free to come dressed as fairies and princesses.
